Turkey Time

It’s Turkey Time people, so we wanted to put together a little Thanksgiving inspiration with one of the newest tables in our collection, and some of our favorite accessories to dress it up. We thought we would share the behind the scenes of this entire set up, so here it goes….

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite Holidays so when it came to this shoot I knew I wanted to keep it traditional. I love that the colors of fall can make you feel warm and comfortable. Also, it’s the one day I’m able to not feel guilty about eating all day long.

As with anything in life, starting with a good foundation is crucial. I chose our new Stutton Dining Table. I just love the color, and thought it would be a perfect base. Next, I pulled some simple white plates from my house and layered them with a wood charger to bring in just enough of the tables’ natural brown tone, and incorporate the other fall inspired colors.

FIRSTSHOTOur Woodrow Mantel was the perfect contrast against the dark reclaimed wood wall, as well as tying in the white dishes and chairs at the table…studio_EMP-3469Anyone that knows me knows that I am not a huge fan of a lot of color, so I like to add pops with accessories. In this case the pumpkins served as my pops of color….studio_EMP-3373studio_EMP-3383I knew our Cambridge Velvet Chairs would act perfectly as the Captain’s of this table, but a simpler version (on the left) is also clean and crisp with the Hardy White Chairs all the way around the table. step2The green in this painting was just the perfect compliment to the green table, as was the subject. studio_EMP-3376studio_EMP-3364My dear friend, Larrissa, from Inviting Occasion completed our look with her gorgeous florals in gold vessels, gold taper candles and gold painted pomegranates. Everything she does is absolutely beautiful! studio_EMP-3375studio_EMP-3384mix2The Carey Tall Candlesticks were just the perfect texture to add to the table, and to compliment the wood chargers (and of course the wood walls)! studio_EMP-3345studio_EMP-3344Layering the dishes, the florals, and the candlesticks (all very simple elements) together made a very cohesive, and inviting table.studio_EMP-3399And the complete look….What do you think? studio_EMP-3360

A special thanks to my hubby, Studio EMP for shooting it and Inviting Occasion for the photography and florals!
