Wanderloft …

This event was extra special to me, so forgive me for the amount of photos in this post! It was hard enough to narrow it down even to just these! When Heather from LVL asked if I would wanted to design and style the opening party for the Loft on Pine in Long Beach with my dear friend Larrissa from Inviting Occassion I was over the moon! The owner of the Loft, Mary Lallande, is also a dear friend and truly an amazing person in this industry, and in life in general. She has made the Loft on amazing new venue, and it was an honor to work with so many talented people for the opening party. Larrissa and I spent days and days making all kinds of beautiful installations for this party, and I am so excited to show off the gorgeous pictures that my hubs (Studio EMP) took of the evening. Check out even more photos on 100 Layer Cake…. 6.67 Larrissa and I made hundreds of strands of braided strips of vintage Kantha, and upholstery piping to hang throughout the space. Clearly, less is definitely not more in our eyes :) 7.5 8.5 9.5 9.6 9.51 10.5 Larrissa also made hundreds of colorful yarn tassels that we incorporated throughout the design, like on these giant dream catchers… 12.1 12.3 Larrissa also added wood beading to our upholstery piping to mimic the vintage Moroccan wedding blankets that we used in the decor. I LOVE the way they turned out! 12.4 And this window display was one that I made for Joel’s studio and was so excited to use it for this party. We added some wood beading and sequins to this as well… 14.4 16.5 16.6 16.8 16.9 17.1 17.3 17.4 17.5 Larrissa and I had fun setting up the backdrop for Sweet & Saucy’s dessert display… 22.5 23.5 25.5 25.7 25.9 Old brick + kantha poofs + indigo pillows = heaven. 26.3 26.4 Lots of colorful lounge vignettes throughout with all of my favorite textiles… 27.1 31.5 And lots and lots of indigo… It was nice to cozy up the space with wall art and various pieces that are not always brought into the design for events. It adds so much… The house was packed…huge success!
