We’re looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our team as a Journeyman, supporting the continued excellence of our collection and serving as a critical bridge between our apprentices and master craftsmen.

Position Overview:

The Journeyman is a skilled artisan role responsible for assisting in the repair, refinishing, and creation of furniture and décor. This individual has advanced knowledge of workshop tools and techniques, thrives in a collaborative environment, and ensures that all tasks are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. They also take ownership of organizational and logistical aspects of the workshop, supporting seamless operations and communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair, Refinish, and Build:
  • Assist in the repair, refinishing, and building of furniture and decor made from wood, metal, fabric, glass, masonry, and other materials.
  • Cut, shape, and smooth materials like wood and metal according to precise specifications.
  • Utilize fasteners, adhesives, welding, and other bonding techniques effectively.
• Operational Excellence:
  • Safely and effectively operate a variety of tools and equipment, including carpentry, metalworking, and other specialized tools.
  • Manage communication and task boards with the warehouse to ensure accuracy, revisions, and timely completion of projects.
• Workshop Organization:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the fabrication lab to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Leadership and Growth:
  •  Support apprentices in their skill development, providing guidance and mentorship where needed.
  • Continue to develop your own expertise in craftsmanship, staying open to learning and mastering new techniques.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated passion for craftsmanship with a strong attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of carpentry, metalworking, or related trades.
• Proficiency with workshop tools and equipment (e.g., power tools, hand tools, welding equipment).
•  Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and uphold a safe work environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
•  Proven ability to manage tasks and projects efficiently.
•  A continued proactive approach to learning.

• Full time
• Hourly
• Most responsibilities will occur Monday-Friday between normal business hours, Occasional evenings and weekends
